What Is the RSMT Championship Tournament Series?
The RSMT Championship Tournament Series is a same-night bracket format run by Rising Stars Muay Thai (RSMT). Four fighters in one weight class enter. Each must win twice in one show, first a semifinal and then the final, to become RSMT Tournament Champion. It debuts at RSMT 18 on Saturday, November 21, 2026, with select brackets placed throughout the card.
RSMT’s stated aim is simple: to create the best, most competitive matchups possible, while giving athletes an extra reason to test themselves, gain experience, and compete for an RSMT Tournament Championship.
How the Tournament Works
Weigh In & Draw Seeds
Tournament fighters weigh in the day before the event, as usual. Tournament seeds are drawn at weigh-ins.
Semifinals
Seed 1 faces Seed 4. Seed 2 faces Seed 3. Both semifinal bouts take place early in the show.
Championship Final
The two semifinal winners return later in the same show to fight for the RSMT Tournament Championship Belt.
One fight earns you a spot in the final. The next earns you the championship.
The Belt
The RSMT Tournament Championship Belt is its own belt: a silver plate on red, white and blue Thai-flag straps, reading Muay Thai · RSMT · Rising Stars Muay Thai Series · Champion. It is a different belt from the red-and-gold RSMT championship belt, which reads “Full Rules Muay Thai”.
What Tournament Fighters Need to Know
- Which weight classes get a bracket. The weight classes that get the most submissions from athletes with comparable experience are the ones selected. That is the main reason to apply early.
- Exclusive shorts. Every tournament fighter receives exclusive RSMT tournament shorts.
- Required equipment. All fighters must wear full equipment as required by state rules for tournament fighting.
- Corner colours. Fighters wear the provided padding that matches their assigned red or blue corner.
- Paperwork. The same IKF physicals, licences and releases apply as for any RSMT bout. Download the required forms.

How many fights does it take to win an RSMT tournament?
Two. A tournament fighter wins a semifinal early in the show, then wins the final later the same night to take the RSMT Tournament Championship Belt.
How are tournament seeds decided?
Seeds are drawn at weigh-ins, the day before the event. Seed 1 fights Seed 4, and Seed 2 fights Seed 3.
Which weight classes will have a tournament?
The weight classes that get the most submissions from athletes with comparable experience. Brackets are chosen from fighter applications, so the classes are confirmed as the card is matched.
How do I enter an RSMT tournament?
Submit a fighter application through the RSMT intake form. Tournament brackets and single bouts are both matched from those applications.
